TILE FLOOR CARE & MAINTENANCE

Keep your tile looking its best by following our care & maintenance guide.

Daily Care & Maintenance

The best way to ensure that your tile floors continue to look great and function well is by sweeping them. Dirt, dust, and other debris can give your tile a grungy and weather look. You can also use a vacuum on your tile, but remove the beater bar as it could harm your floors. Vacuums are successful in getting to those hard-to-reach places.

You can mop your tile floors with water or approved cleaning solutions, but be wary of using too much as it could damage the tiles.

You may also elect to have visitors remove their shoes before walking on your tile floors and placing entry mats at the doors to your home. Tile is, on the whole, an easy-to-maintain flooring.

Dealing With Tile Spills & Stains

Tile is tough on spills and stains. If you act fast when an accident happens, you can linger long-term damage to your tile and grouting. You can use tile floor cleaning solutions too, as needed. But never use an unknown substance on your tile floors without consulting your manufacturer first.

Tile floors can be mopped, but do not allow for too much standing water. On the whole, tile is easy to care for and is resistant to spills, stains, and scratches.
