1. Signature Taste
.2. Cooking Versatility
Kamado grills are the pinnacle of all charcoal grills or any other grill for that matter. Low tech. High taste. Kamado grills need little to no maintenance, they are very easy to use and you’ll enjoy some of the most mouth-watering food you’ve ever tasted, not to mention getting true charcoal flavor.
The beauty of a Kamado grill is it’s simplicity. It’s a combination natural lump charcoal and air flow. As you increase the amount of air the temperature rises, restrict the air flow and it lowers the temperature. It’s also amazing how the consistent the temperature is over a long period of time. You can set the temperature at 225°F for a long low and slow cook and it will maintain that temperature for over 12 hours.
Grill restaurant-quality seared steaks in 5 minutes, roast a 20lb turkey for Thanksgiving smoke a beef brisket to tender perfection for a barbecue party. You can even bake your own wood fired pizza. Trust me, you’ll never want to go out for pizza again. That’s why all other grills pale in comparison to a Kamado grill.
A popular misconception is that Kamado grills take a long time to preheat because they use charcoal. The truth is that you can be grilling in 15 minutes. The same time it takes to preheat a gas grill. Kamado grills are often confused with briquette charcoal grills, which can take up to 30 minutes before the briquettes are ready.
Natural lump charcoal can be relit for multiple cookings. You can’t do that with gas or briquettes. Natural lump charcoal produces 1/3 the ash of briquettes, so there’s less clean up. With a 1” ceramic shell and weighing from 200-350lbs, Kamado grills really are a work horse. Unlike gas grills, heavy winds will not affect or prevent cooking on a Kamado grill.
Ceramic grills work well with limited outdoor space, so if you have a small deck or patio a kamado grill is going to have a very small footprint, and it can easily be moved because it’s on wheels. Kamado grills can be installed in a grill table or outdoor kitchen. Kamado grills may look small, but looks can be deceiving. You can actually cook for 12 or more easily.
Low tech mean low maintenance. Just check the tightness of the bands annually. No messing with clogged burners or replacing empty tanks. Unlike metal grills, Kamado grills do not pose the risk of a burn injury. So they are much safer to use, especially if you have small children. You can have a Kamado grill heated to 400°F or more and while it will get very warm, accidentally touching it will not burn you.
